Calcified seaweed extraction

Sustainable, conscious extraction compatible with natural replacement takes place in view of the fact that there is no extraction of live algae, only calcified algae, that is, already dead and sedimented.

And this is due to natural reasons of the maritime ecosystem cycle itself. A deposit, located in deep waters, is formed by sea currents, which carry sediments from an area made up of live algae (reddish in color) to that area made up solely of dead algae (white in color).

Oceana Minerals manages to provide a product that is 100% natural and organic.

We are located in a region close to the equator, far from urban areas and with climatic conditions that favor the growth, development and fragmentation of Lithothamnium.

Monitoring

By controlling and monitoring marine life, we protect the environment from any possible impact. With an operating license granted by Ibama, Oceana complies with a strict protocol during its activities. Within this context, the company performs extensive and complete annual monitoring of intact areas (places where live algae are found).

Several aspects are measured, such as climate, sea current, water quality and species of plants and fish that make up the ecosystem.

Processing

The processing of raw materials (drying, grinding, filling and storage of the product) follows the highest standards of quality, safety and technology.

Delivery

With no manual contact, the industrial processing preserves the properties of the seaweed, guaranteeing the quality of the product in the final delivery.

The result is a 100% natural and organic product, which directly contributes to the sustainability of agribusiness.

Oceana Minerals complies with strict protocols during its activities. Within this context, the company annually carries out extensive and complete environmental monitoring.

In addition, fish samples are periodically counted as a way of monitoring their presence and development.

All this monitoring is carried out by an independent and certified company, which verifies compliance with all the requirements of the environmental agencies.
