Aquaculture
LithoNutri Acqua® is Oceana’s marine-origin mineral technology for aquaculture, with applications in water management, production system balance, and formulations for shrimp and fish farming.
Mineral Technology for Aquaculture
An origin that nourishes water, soil, microbiota, and production performance.
LithoNutri Acqua® is Oceana’s mineral solution developed from Lithothamnium for applications in aquaculture systems. Its marine-origin biogenic mineral matrix can be used both in managing the farming environment and in nutritional formulations for shrimp and fish farming.
Naturally rich in calcium, magnesium, and other minerals, LithoNutri Acqua® supports strategies aimed at balancing the production system, integrating water quality, pond management, and animal nutrition into a single technological solution.
Marine-origin technology for more balanced aquaculture environments
In aquaculture, productivity results from the interaction between water quality, pond conditions, management, and nutrition. The balance of these factors directly influences the stability of the production system and animal development.
LithoNutri Acqua® was developed to act at different stages of this process and can be used in pond preparation, water quality management, and nutritional formulations for fish and shrimp.
How LithoNutri Acqua® contributes to aquaculture systems
Pond soil
Applied during pond preparation, it supports management strategies aimed at balancing the soil’s chemical characteristics, promoting suitable conditions for the production environment.
Culture water
Its marine-origin mineral matrix can be used in management programs designed to balance alkalinity, total hardness, and water pH stability.
Nutritional formulations
It can be incorporated into formulations for fish and shrimp, providing a mineral matrix naturally rich in calcium, magnesium, and other minerals for different nutritional strategies.
Microbiological environment
When used in integrated production programs, LithoNutri Acqua® supports strategies aimed at balancing the farming environment and microbiota, according to the objectives of the production system.
Aquaculture production
Its integrated action on environment and nutrition makes LithoNutri Acqua® a solution developed to support production programs that prioritize quality, stability, and operational efficiency.
Benefits for shrimp and fish
Water quality management
Applications designed to support alkalinity, total hardness, and pH stability, contributing to more balanced conditions in the farming environment.
Production system balance
Using a marine-origin mineral matrix can integrate management programs focused on stabilizing the aquaculture environment and reducing fluctuations that impact the production system.
Mineral matrix for nutritional formulations
A source naturally rich in calcium, magnesium, and other minerals, intended for incorporation into formulations for fish and shrimp.
Application versatility
It can be used at different stages of the production system, including pond preparation, water management, and nutritional formulations, according to the technical objectives of each production program.
Recommended applications
Preparation of earthen ponds
- Reference dose: 250 to 500 kg/ha per cycle
Technical recommendation
Apply to moist soil after pond sterilization.
Distribution may be done manually or with agricultural equipment.
After application, it is recommended to keep the product in contact with the moist soil for at least seven days before filling the pond, promoting its interaction with the farming environment.
Water quality management
Intensive and super-intensive systems
Reference dose: 3 to 20 g/m³ per day
Application should be adjusted according to monitoring of total alkalinity and pH variations, seeking to maintain the stability of the farming environment in line with the system’s technical objectives.
Extensive and semi-intensive systems
Reference dose: 50 to 100 kg/ha per week
It is recommended to begin applications after filling the ponds. Prior soil preparation with LithoNutri Acqua® strengthens the management strategy and contributes to building a more balanced farming environment.
Application in nutritional formulations
LithoNutri Acqua® can be incorporated into formulations intended for fish and shrimp nutrition, providing a marine-origin biogenic mineral matrix naturally rich in calcium, magnesium, and other minerals.
Its consistent composition and high bioavailability enable its use in nutritional programs developed for different species and production systems.
Inclusion strategies and application doses must be defined by qualified professionals, considering the characteristics of the farming system and the formulation, as well as the technical objectives of each production program.
Technical characteristics
LithoNutri Acqua® is developed from Lithothamnium, a marine-origin biogenic mineral whose naturally microporous structure brings together calcium, magnesium, and other minerals in a mineral matrix of high stability and quality.
Its physical characteristics support applications in different aquaculture systems, both in managing the farming environment and in nutritional formulations for shrimp and fish farming.
Physical characteristics
