Developed to integrate formulations that prioritize quality, consistency, and nutritional safety, meeting the demands of the animal nutrition industry.
Inclusion guidelines in swine formulations
LithoNutri® inclusion rates should be defined according to nutritional objectives, production phase, diet composition, and the criteria adopted by the responsible nutritionist.
As a technical reference, LithoNutri® can be used in swine formulations within the following inclusion ranges:
Production phase Recommended inclusion
- Nursery 6 to 10 kg/ton
- Grow-finish 3 to 4 kg/ton
- Gestation and lactation 4 to 5 kg/ton
General inclusion range: 0.4% to 1.0% of the formulation, according to the nutritional strategy and technical evaluation of the person responsible for the formulation.
Inclusion recommendations may vary depending on diet composition, production system, nutritional objectives, and the characteristics of each feeding program.
Results in swine
Studies conducted under experimental conditions demonstrate the application potential of LithoNutri® in swine nutritional programs. The evaluations investigate the impact of supplementation with a biogenic marine-derived mineral matrix on productive, reproductive, and zootechnical parameters.
Study with sows
In a research project conducted with 34 sows, distributed into two treatments (17 animals per group), the effects of including LithoNutri® in gestation and lactation diets on the productive indicators of the sows and litter performance were evaluated.
Supplementation was performed with 4 kg of LithoNutri® per ton of feed, allowing for the evaluation of the mineral matrix application under controlled conditions and following experimental protocols.
The results obtained reinforce the potential use of LithoNutri® as a mineral ingredient in swine formulations, contributing to the development of nutritional programs based on quality, consistency, and technical evidence.
Results presented
- Supplementation with LithoNutri® in gestation and lactation diets showed positive results in the evaluated indicators compared to the control treatment.
- Lower percentage of stillborn piglets
- 3.2% reduction in the percentage of stillborn piglets, indicating an improvement in the reproductive rates evaluated during the study.
- Higher number of weaned piglets
- Increase of 0.54 weaned piglets per sow, reflecting better performance throughout the lactation period.
- Higher litter birth weight
- 1.56 kg increase in total litter birth weight compared to the control group.
- Higher litter weaning weight
- 2.55 kg increase in total litter weaning weight, evidencing better litter performance during the evaluated period.
- The results presented refer to the specific conditions of the study conducted and may vary according to genetics, management, diet formulation, and the production system adopted.
